I live in Bend, OR and am taking a hiatus from working as a Bio-chemical engineer for Bend Research. I’m actually regressing into what every runner that I know has done at some point, working in a running shop. On the side I’m training for the Olympic Trials Marathon in January and on the side working on a comprehensive coaching program that will help runners get faster and stay injury free. Running takes up most of my spare time right now. Check out my blog for more details on that and other stuff. We also have a successful Performance Running Group going in Bend that’s helping runners of all levels race faster by training smarter. So far it’s been great with a core group of about 15 people, even when it’s 20 degrees and snowing. During the summer we’re topping out at about 40. I’m guessing we’ll be seeing some PRs dropping when the racing weather returns.
